coronavirus pandemic. no surprise there. with the monkeypox outbreak happening now, the big question is, are the changes coming too late? big questions as the 11th hour gets underway on this wednesday night. good evening once again, i them stephanie ruhle. , and his allies played in the days ahead of the capitol riot. even trump white house records, and quote, have issued a grand jury subpoena to the national archives, for all the documents the agency provided to a parallel house select committee inquiry. according to a copy of the subpoena obtained by the new york times, those materials included records from the files of mr. trump s top aides, his daily schedule and phone logs, and a draft text of the presidents speech that proceeded the riot. the times says the subpoena is not related to the fbi s search of trump s florida home. so, that means, the department of justice is running a separate probe into the trump white house, and what the former guy was doing on january 6t
before. that lack people, ourselves, have to internalize the notion that black lives matter. it s not simply for white folks. it s not simply a pedagogical lesson in a class. it s also for us to internalize. why is that? we know white supremacy is deeply entrenched into the collective unconscious of this nation, including black people. the colonization of our minds, the ways in which we ve been taught to respond and react the same way. so, no. we know that had those been five white cops, it would have been unlikely that they would have been as aggressively pursued in terms of a legal system. we ve seen white cops get away with murder time and time again. we are not asking for affirmative action for black cops winner, for the delay of justice. we are asking for the speed up of white cops to kill black people and others to be held to account. there is no question that this is one of the most heinous, disregards of black life we ve ever seen and white folk have to come to grips with that
leveraging visuals, some storytelling, clear messaging. a promise of with a vaccine could do versus what they could not to. this is what we really need to be trying to internalize, trying to move forward. listen, it s easy to attack the cdc now. but are we forgetting, during the trump administration, they were not able to communicate with the public the way they wanted to the former president was preventing it. members of his team were changing content on their website. and also, covid was changing while they were communicating with us. i mean, all the different strains, they never experienced a pandemic like this, in your or my lifetime. that is exactly right, which is why, you are right, neither administration has been perfect. the last thing we need to be doing is bandwagoning on the criticism of the cdc and dr. walensky. i applaud, again, the move today for accountable leadership. and many mistakes were made in 2020. some mistakes were made here in 2021 moving forward. how do w
it s also managing a president who doesn t like to internalize blame. whoever is closest to him or whoever is trying to direct him is going to get the brunt of his criticism for anything he perceives as bad news for the administration. the president is clearly in a bad mood. i think the double whammy of the mid terms and the mueller investigation seeming to rev back up have clearly gotten inside his head. the trip to europe probably didn t help any. you know, when he gets angry, he tends to lash out. that can fall on whoever is sort of within his radius. david mentions the questions. he spent more than ten hours answering written questions from the special counsel robert mueller. he claimed a tremendous victory in the mid term elections expanding since election night.
