present at the meeting. this vice president who talks very openly about his faith who often makes appearances before religious groups or in religious settings, how has he been able to reconcile his loyalty to a president who just today again endorsed an alleged child molester? this is why i think this story of mike pence is important because it is really the story of millions of conservative christians in this country. i have a part of this story where i talk to an expert on religion in this country. he says that there has been a sea change in especially vangelical political ethics that has made it so that the group formerly known as value voters look for candidates with sterling kwarkt. they look for candidates who will support them on issues like
the vote efforts. i think trump s endorsement there could possibly help a few people who might have been on the fence in that middle ground. republicans who were swaying back and forth. trump s endorsement possibly could. bannon, if you are worried about a bannon endorsement if that matters to you at all then you were most likely going to vote for roy moore anyway. i think the money in trump could help him in a small amount there if he needs a little push to get over the hump. i don t think bannon will carry any weight. you know how things work on capitol hill. could this put senate republicans in a difficult position if roy moore wins? because a number of them have said and we just heard it again from mitch mcconnell if he gets elected they will look at whether or not to seat him. absolutely. senate republicans are horrified by the prospect of a roy moore joining them in the senate.
the republican party particularly needs to ask themselves who do we want to be? who are we going to be as a party moving forward when we are enabling a credbly accused child molester to be seated in the senate. this is shameful on the part of the rnc chairman who would rather cast aside moral decency in order to score a political win with the president of the united states. donald trump doesn t care about any of the moral aspect of this. he just wants a win. he doesn t care if someone is honest or decent. he wants a political win and now this is manifesting in this way. i think the republicans will pay a price at the polls. you have already seen a reduction in people identifying as republicans. gallop came out with a poll that said 42% identify as republicans now is 37%. you will continue to see that because people are sick and tired of republicans caving this way. thank you.
