An inspector with the crime branch of Salem city was dismissed on Saturday in connection with a 2016 bribery case. The inspector identified as M Ganesan was issued his dismissal orders by home secretary P Amutha. Ganesan was accused in a bribery case in 2016 when he was serving as a sub-inspector at the Palani town police station in Dindigul district.
