Between two as yet unnamed sites and the Department of Healthâs three sites, Pinellas hopes to distribute 10,000 to 12,000 doses next week.

The Florida Health Department’s COVID-19 vaccine appointment portal in Orange County, managed by CDR Maguire, reopened Thursday evening, the company announced this morning on its Twitter account. The site was closed from mid-morning into the evening Thursday, frustrating seniors trying to book appointments. The portal should be open 24/7, said Kent Donahue, spokesman for the state Department of Health in Orange County.

Right now, DOH is not accepting any new appointments while they work on the new update. In the meantime, Bethel AME is hosting a vaccine clinic for seniors Sunday, January 7.
It s part of the governor s initiative to give access to people in under-served communities.
