When he started Fanbytes during his second year of university back in 2017, Timothy Armoo wanted to reinvent how brands interact with younger audiences. And in just four years, he’s become an influential leader in the UK’s TikTok scene, helping creators navigate new fame and fortunes while also guiding brands to reach younger audiences on emerging and existing platforms.
Armoo, who is 26, has doubled the size of the team from 27 to 57 in the past year while expanding into Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, Nigeria and Ghana. Last year, he launched the UK’s first TikTok hype house called ByteHouse, helped the government around Covid-19 messaging and created a new fund to help support Black businesses and creators.
Yomi Adegoke, Nadine White and other Black Brits honoured on Forbes 30 under 30 list
