When he started Fanbytes during his second year of university back in 2017, Timothy Armoo wanted to reinvent how brands interact with younger audiences. And in just four years, he’s become an influential leader in the UK’s TikTok scene, helping creators navigate new fame and fortunes while also guiding brands to reach younger audiences on emerging and existing platforms.
Armoo, who is 26, has doubled the size of the team from 27 to 57 in the past year while expanding into Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, Nigeria and Ghana. Last year, he launched the UK’s first TikTok hype house called ByteHouse, helped the government around Covid-19 messaging and created a new fund to help support Black businesses and creators.

Facebookâs Nicola Mendelsohn Joins Speaker Line-up for DMX Dublin

Facebookâs vice president for the EMEA region Nicola Mendelsohn has been added to the list of keynote speakers for the forthcoming DMX Dublin event which is being organised by the Marketing Institute of Ireland, which will take place on March 25
th.
Mendelsohn has held the role since 2013 and she also  serves on the UK Governmentâs Industrial Strategy Council, The Mayor of Londonâs Business Advisory Board, and in September 2014 she became a non-executive director of Diageo. She and her husband are also co-presidents of the charity Norwood.
Marketingâs Galacticos to Speak at DMX Dublin

Three of the biggest names in global marketing will feature as keynote speakers at the forthcoming DMX Dublin event which will take place on March 25
th.
Byron Sharp, Mark Ritson and Syl Caller head the line-up of speakers on the day. Sharp, making his first appearance on front of an Irish audience, is a director Ehrenberg-Bass Institute and author of How Bands Grow. Mark Ritson, meanwhile, is a leading international brand consultant, marketing professor and columnist while Syl Saller is a former global CMO for Diageo.
The popular conference, which is organised by the Marketing Institute of Ireland (MII), is now in its 9th year and will take place online.
