MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - On the final weekend of Black History Month, groups in Montgomery held a celebration of culture Saturday afternoon.
Organizers held a Black history celebration at the historic Nixon-Times Community Garden on Emerson Street.
Those in attendance commemorated the lives of E-D Nixon and Lucille Times.
Organizers held live paintings and allowed some to plant in the garden. There were also performances by dances from Alabama State University.
