Jason Miller gets one year jail sentence for vandalism charge Share this story Photo by Paul Archuleta/FilmMagic On Tuesday Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller, 40, plead guilty to a vandalism charge and was immediately sentenced to 364 days in jail (per CBSLA). Miller has been in jail since August 21 when he was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and car theft. At that time he was serving probation in connection with a domestic violence case. Miller, who last fought in 2016, has had numerous run ins with the law in recent years.

Trees – you can bank on them - The Mountain Times

The Mountain Times By Gary Salmon So how do trees work like a bank account? When they are sequestering carbon as all trees have over eons. A forest of trees is like principal, that grows and occasionally gets partially withdrawn (harvested). The faster and longer the growth the greater return from your collection of carbon sequesterers. It’s a simple process but very difficult to quantify, which is why the concept of creating carbon sequestering markets has been difficult to implement (two projects off the ground in Vermont). At another level a forest landowner can even look at harvested trees as a sort of carbon sequestering diversion because if wood products are created from the harvested trees and become a part of a building’s structure then carbon is permanently stored in that way as well.

In tune after lockdown blues - MPNEWS

In tune after lockdown blues Picture: Yanni MORNINGTON Peninsula musicians are emerging from an COVID-enforced break from performing before live audiences. They were not always quiet during this year’s lockdowns, but most agree that streaming live over the internet is not the same as receiving feedback from an audience. One of the live music venues set to go with a series of concerts is the Pig and Whistle Tavern at main Ridge. Music was again being played late last month when the tavern hosted a private entertainment industry networking event ahead of a series of live shows leading into Christmas and for the following 12 months.
