Moberly School Board accepts resignation of superintendent

Monday night, the Moberly School Board accepted the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Tim Roling.
A social media post on the school district s Facebook page said Roling s last day will be June 30.
The school board met Tuesday to discuss immediate plans for the next superintendent. A follow-up Facebook post sent out Tuesday evening did not say if any decisions were made.
Roling accepted the district s top position on July 1, 2020. Previously, he served the district for 12 years between 2003-2015.
The school board placed Roling on administrative leave in mid-January for him to address personal health concerns.

On Tuesday, the Moberly Public School District Board of Education voted unanimously to place Superintendent Dr. Tim Roling, on paid administrative leave to allow him to address personal health concerns.
Officials report that no specific timeline has currently been established for Dr. Roling s return.
Dr. Roling has been at the district s superintendent since July 1, 2020.
Dr. Roling served the Moberly School District from 2003–2015 prior to his first superintendent job in another district.

Nearly 14% of the Moberly Public School District s student enrollment has chosen to engage with a virtual online curriculum for the second semester.
Once classes and extra-curricular activities resume in January, a mask mandate will be instituted for students, teachers, staff visitors and event spectators.
Letters were sent to students parents in early December announcing these changes, and guidelines are available on the district website.
The school board also continues to discuss matters pertaining to a possible ballot issue for the April election Superintendent, Superintendent Tim Roling said Tuesday.
