And yesterday, not quite as warm, but we had plenty of temperatures near 90 at the shoreline. Heres a look at live doppler seven, the fog. It is getting awfully close, very foggy down in san diego. And everyone will see the low clouds and fog along the coast overnight. So our heat advisory , as gloria mentioned, still another day of that until 11 00. The highlighted areas from redwood city, San Francisco, san jose, ben lomond. Right now, 68, downtown, 61 in fremont. It is 54 in santa rosa with 65 concord and 55 out by the delta. So some areas cooler this morning. Three degrees cooler in oakland and napa. And theres a look at the bridge there. Well see sunny conditions. A Beautiful Day on the way. Again a little hot out there, 10 to 15 degrees above average with widespread 90s inland around 90 along the bay shore and some 80s at the coast and a big

In fact, the beaches were even hot. We were talking about that today. The last really hot day out there. And were starting with live doppler seven. So you can see the fog down around san diego. Otherwise most of the shoreline is clear. And were looking for that fog to return about this time tomorrow. So the heat advisory until 11 00. You can see temperatures still from the mid 80s to the upper 90s. Thats ten to about 17 degrees above average. Current numbers right now. Look at that, San Francisco, 70 degrees, 63 in oakland, 68, san mateo with cooler 50s up in the north bay. So compared to yesterday, say it is a couple of degrees cooler from santa rosa, but overall, very little change until late in the day today where we get a weak onshore flow at our beaches. So the only changes will be a few degrees cooler there. Youll notice it will still be in the 80s though, along the coastline temporarily before that sea breeze kicks in and upper 90s inland. Well track that cooldown for tomorrow.

But first a late night shootout at a hotel in south san jose injured two San Jose Police officers and the man who fired at them. Abc seven news south bay reporter Dustin Dorsey has more on what the early investigation revealed about the suspect. But first, dustin, how are the officers doing . Larry and kristen, we are happy to report that both officers are in stable condition after being involved in a shooting that involved a man with two felony warrants out for his arrest, 1 or 1 officer spent the day in the hospital with life threatening injuries. But the entire city is thankful that both are expected to survive. Our officers families got the call they always dreaded and prayed. Im dan ashley and im ahmad daetz, abc abc7 news south bay reporter Lauren Martinez spoke to one long time child safety advocate who has fought for extra safety protections at the state level and he says this new decision should be going many steps further. Days following the devastating drowning of two toddlers at a home daycare pool, the state has suspended the operators license following a hearing. The state may choose to revoke the license entirely. The department of social services may also prohibit the operators from working at any facility licensed by the state. The two licensees are facing 11,000 in civil penalties.
