BENGALURU: TikTok India head Nikhil Gandhi is in discussions to join Bengaluru-based adtech firm InMobi at a leadership position, sources told TOI. Some 15 months ago, Gandhi was appointed as TikTok India head to lead product development and operations in the country. When TOI asked Gandhi about his next move, he said, “I have no clue about it.”
TOI has also learnt that about 100 mid-to-senior TikTok employees are joining InMobi to be a part of its consumer mobile product Glance. TikTok has over 2,000 employees. InMobi told TOI that it doesn’t want to comment on the matter. TikTok employees expertise in short-form video would be valuable to Glance, which too shows short videos on the Android lockscreen.
