If this holes together, it could be in Chester County within the hour. And heading towards other parts of the delaware valley. It is a line of storms moving through not only the new york and the philadelphia area but to our southwest and later today, theres a possibility well be looking at more showers and thunderstorms with the threat greatest in delaware and south jersey. The possibility of Severe Weather could include damaging winds and a threat of hail possibly even tornadoes later today. Were tracking this storm right now. Later in the day. Bill . Im tracking the storms on the first alert radar, a line of storms moving to the eve at 40 miles an hour. Its a fast mover. When we went on the air at 4 00 this morning, these storms were moving through york county and now Lancaster County has seen them clear. But they are raging through portions of Chester County and into Delaware County. Some of the heaviest rainfall crossing into Delaware County. These storms are on the move at 40 miles an hour. It wont take long for them to move to philadelphia. Could be here with the heavy rainfall by 5 30. As well as heavy rain theres a potential, you can see a potential for hail damaging winds. These storms could produce winds in excess of 60 miles an hour. Some very heavy rainfall within those storms but they are moving to the east. Those storms expected to be offshore by midday. Then well get sunshine and with heating well be back in the 90s this afternoon. That could fuel more storms that could turn severe later today.

Were looking at 295 in runnemede, new jersey around the black horse pike. Everything moving along, even through the work zone where we are losing out that lefthand shoulder. Part of the righthand lane as well. All vehicles moving. The on ramps are moving there as well. The drive time still doing okay despite damp conditions. Southbound from 38 up towards the black horse pike is still about a 13minute drive time. If youre heading out the door on the schuylkill actively raining right here. Slippery spots all up and down the schuylkill. The drive times relatively unaffected so far. A 13minute trip at the most if youre headed eastbound from the blue route up towards the vine street expressway for the morning
To other news now. Take a look at this. A Small Plane Crash in Lehigh County this morning. Skyforce 10 over the scene where amazingly, the pilot survived and we are told was alert. The single engine experimental plane went down into the Little Lehigh creek in allentown, very close to i78 as you see on the map. The faa just released a statement saying it is investigating. They say the plane was an experimental aircraft and built from a kit. We are also hearing the pilot may be injured but was conscious as the rescue crews worked to get him out of this plane. He was the only one on board. The faa says its not clear what caused the crash. Police are turning their attention to preventing any additional problems that this accident could cause. We are concerned, you can see we still have crews on scene. We will be putting our haz mat unit, put in booms across the water and such for any fuel or fluid that leaked from the plane.
