3 Bangladeshi peacekeepers injured in Mali attack Staff Correspondent 30th January, 2021 10:31:19 Three Bangladeshi peacekeepers were injured in an attack by armed rebels during an operation in the West African nation of Mali on Wednesday. The rebels detonated Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and opened fire on them.  The injured peacekeepers are No 4042435 Lance Corporal Alimuzzaman (4 E Bengal), No 4514355 Soldier Md Mostafizur Rahman (34 BIR) and No 4510404 Soldier Saidul Alam (34 BIR). Bangladeshi brave peacekeepers carried out a counter-attack on the terrorists, forcing them to flee the scene. The IED blast by the armed rebels partially damaged an LAV (Light Armored Vehicle) of Bangladeshi peacekeepers on the spot.
