Conditions are expected to become favourable for the onset of southwest monsoon over Jharkhand after June 16, while heatwave conditions will persist across the state till Sunday. Rainfall is expected to increase between June 15 and 16, bringing down mercury levels and the heatwave conditions. Red alert for severe heatwave conditions were issued for certain districts.
