Reporter the video youre watching right now is the first suspect arrested at the original scene near fourth and p street. Police say when they started to chase that car, one of the suspects bailed out. He was arrested at fourth and p. Then the chase ensued through the tunnel and thats when one of the suspects leaned out of the window with a mini machine gun and opened fire on the police. They hit a bump and dropped that weapon as well as all of the ammo inside the tunnel. The car then hit a jersey wall and came to a rest where the tow truck is about to take it away. At that point, police surrounded that car and took the two men into custody. Now we have three men in custody. No i. D. On these gentlemen. We dont know what started this incident but, again, police have recovered a mini machine gun. Chief lanier pointed out that this is the second time today that police in d. C. Dallas, officers here are understandably concerned. Thats something thats very alarming for members out on the street protecting the residents of the city. Police were shot at by suspects in two separate incidents. First an Early Morning shootout in southeast. Police say a gunman with hostages in this suv exchanged gunfire with officers. Later that day, congress was put on lockdown while in session as police were chasing two gunman in this car from southwest d. C. Into northwest near capitol hill. An alert victim, some quick thinking Good Samaritans and some fastmoving cops, they had this case closed in no time. This 34yearold man captured and cuffed right on the spot today and charged in connection with an upskirting incident. It happened at the Arlington County courthouse metro station. Police tell the story this way. A woman gets off the metro. Ridi. She gets the sense that something isnt right. She looks behind her and sees a man who has a cell phone up her dress and is taking pictures. She confronts him and then up here on the platform, they say that man takes his cell phone and smashes it on the ground. That draws the attention of a couple passing by, and they come they surrounded the suspect. They made sure the suspect was unable to leave the scene.
