LANCASTER – In a suit which claimed a landlord’s negligence resulted in the ceiling of the plaintiff’s prior domicile collapsing on her, due to failure to repair a leak in her living room ceiling, the landlord has brought preliminary objections to dismiss claims for lack of specificity.
PITTSBURGH – Subsequent to dismissal by a federal judge, a Western Pennsylvania man has appealed his case against Walmart, alleging he was wrongfully charged with theft and malicious prosecution, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
LANCASTER – A New Jersey woman claims she was injured in a Lancaster inn, when the mirror which was hanging up in her hotel room fell from the wall and landed on her.
PITTSBURGH – After a federal magistrate judge recommended that an amended lawsuit from a Vandergrift Borough Council member, which alleged a conspiracy-based campaign of defamation and slander undertaken by a number of borough officials was intended to drive her out of office, be dismissed for failure to prosecute, the presiding judge acted accordingly and threw out the case.
