Lake Criminal court jurors deliberated for two hours Friday before finding Sheldon S. Stokes and Richard Walker not guilty of murder and attempted murder.
Desmond L. Crews Jr., 24, was the first of four co-defendants to be arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a 13-year-old boy and wounded another.
The two men were among four charged in connection with a shooting Oct. 31, 2021, in Hammond s Hessville section that killed 13-year-old Thomas DeLaCruz Jr. and wounded another teen.
