COIMBATORE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday dedicated to the nation NLC’s two 500 MW thermal power plants built at a cost of Rs 8,000 crore and a 709 MW solar power plant.
At a function in Coimbatore’s Codissia Trade Fair Complex, the PM also laid the foundation stone for the modernization of lower Bhavani project.
He inaugurated a slew of infrastructure and housing projects for western and southern regions. They included integrated command control centres in nine smart cities and a 5MW solar power plant in Tuticorin.
A rail overbridge and widening of the Korampallam surplus centre were inaugurated for V O Chidambaranar Port Trust in Tuticorin.
