Standing together to support local businesses is something that the county benefits from through sales tax, said Hill who is also a county commissioner.
“Think LC is not just about Kinston but encourages communities such as La Grange, Hugo, Pink Hill, and Falling Creek to create an environment of support, Hill said.
He said sales tax revenue establishes more economic development. The Lenoir County sales rate is 6.75%, which includes 4.75% State rate plus applicable the 2% local rate.
“Local jobs are positively affected when spending happens in our communities,” Hill said.
The Chamber of Commerce will distribute signs in August around town to grab the attention of consumers in Lenoir County. Business after hours events will display signs in front of shops with the words Think LC attached to them.
