Fears of a global recession driving investors to the safety of gold, which was way up today, soaring to its highest level since september 2013. Bonds with a ten year treasury yield hitting lowest level since october 2016. At least one bond analyst says it could actually go negative after all is said and done. But is this all just an overreaction, or are we really on the brink of some kind of financial disaster . Were not on the brink, david, but the markets are worried that this trade war were having with china may not be resolved the way they thought it would a few months ago. What would be the implications of that . Creates more uncertainty. Whats going to happen with the tariffs with autos and auto parts from europe .
We had gone 19 days with no rain and now here comes the holiday week and here comes the rain. At least the temperatures are above the freezing mark. There is no icing but the roads could be slick thanks to the rain. You can see the rain passing from southwest to northeast across the area. Tomorrow morning. The radar shows these are lifting from southwest to northeast around eastern iowa. The other thing you can see is there are dry pockets in between the showers. Its not a consistent heavy rain. The rain does come and go. I want to show you whats going on in southwestern iowa. Another surge of energy coming into the part of the state will reignite the rain as it comes east across the area tonight. Th with temperatures in the midshipman and upper 30s. There could be some patchy fog around and hopefully nothing to dance. At this point were not seeing that.
