Ghana and Sudan. Two countries, two teams and two hurdles that Bafana Bafana have to clear if they want to add another African name to their list of targets – Cameroon.
Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki knows his team are within touching distance of Afcon qualification. But ahead of SA lie 180 minutes of critical football if they hope to join the continent’s elite in Cameroon next year.
Ntseki’s side sits second in Group C, level on nine points with Ghana. Victory for the 1996 Afcon champions will almost certainly ensure qualification for Cameroon 2022. Defeat will almost certainly put Ntseki on a path towards a door marked “exit”.

Recently capped Bafana Bafana star Thibang Phete has reacted after being shown a straight red card during Belenenses defeat to Maritimo over the weekend.
On Saturday evening, Phete was handed his marching orders by referee Fabio Verissimo during Belenenses 1-0 Primeira Liga defeat to Maritimo after he was deemed to have intentionally stomped on defender Rene Santos.
After the match, which saw the Portuguese outfit s five-game unbeaten run come to an end, Phete took to social media to react to the result and his 98th-minute dismissal. We lose, we win, we make mistakes, we learn, the 26-year-old defender wrote on his official Instagram account, alongside an image of himself and teammate Henrique.
