Thanks for joining us this midday. Im jessica rae. One person is dead after a plane crashed just outside of pender, nebraska late sunday evening, according totohe wayne county Sheriffs Office. Around 720 last night, the Sheriffs Office got word of a missing plane scheduled to land at sioux Gateway Airport th single engine plane, originating from columbia missouri, was diverted due to dense fog and failed to notify the airport if it had landed. Emergency crews responded to the crash site just outside of pender the pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. No other passengers were believed to be in the plane. Rsh weather conditions hindered the search of the crash and the ntsb says weather will be one of the things theyll be we have very limited information right now about the the flightand the accident but we have dispatched an scene and thats one looking at.
