so we know over the last few days he has been reaching out to some, some of them have not been able to take on his representation but apparently a lot of them are actually trying to help him figure this out. obviously the need for lawyer has been certainly impressed upon him by many of his friends, even though rudy himself obviously has been resisting hiring a lawyer for the last few at least the last couple of weeks. we re talking about a defense attorney. right, exactly. we knew, right, ever since the two associates were indicted people have been telling rudy he should hire a lauren and to protect hemz and he has been resisting. do we no he if anything changed as far as federal investigators last week rudy says he wasn t looking for a lawyer and hadn t heard from the fbi. the message coming across to rudy that he is certainly somebody who is at the center of the investigation. he is now more than just a
leadership is really under the microscope with the mail bombings and with the synagogue shooting recently. the white house like the president is very much off kilter, struggling to find a balance between showing empathy and consoling the country which the president s aides admit donald trump is not particularly skilled or good at or comfortable doing. and continuing the attack on the political campaign trail. the president has wanted to spend this last week just 100% attacking democrats, bringing up immigration and so forth and been distracted by the national traenls very much outside his own control. and the 23-minute press conference we saw yesterday with sarah sanders i think reflected the unease within the white house that s really emanating from the president hemz trying to strike the balance between consoling people and combatting people as you put it at the top of the show. phil rucker great reporting and i appreciate you joining the broadcast today. thank you. alexey and ken
ag, but has session done him a favor by waiting for the mueller report. i think the president should lay off the attorney general. he is have and rudy guiliani thought he would have recused hemz. think about if sessions had not recused himself. you would have story after story and questioning if there is political interferrance from trump to the independent special counsel. the best thing is that mueller finds no collusion and if mueller comes out with that in the report and utter and final credibility that the president could not have influenced it through sessions. that s what guiliani said. things are move nothing his direction, you will raise a lot of question. you think that the president

we really don t know the substance of what they re talking about in there, we don t know the substance of what their long-term plan is. it seems to be built on the framework of this resolution, but i don t know if there s resolution. what i think you re seeing here, fred, is not necessarily huge progress but incremental progress to get this deal done. yes, there were senators, both democrat and republican, and these are senators willing to cut deals. none of the hard-liners were involved in this confrontation. i type of. they had this lejty discussion among themz, they ll now to and
