in the hbo documentary going clear the church of scientology is portrayed as an organization that uses intimidation. today, there s more controversy involving scientology s leader. reporter: david is leader of the church of scientology, and according to police reports, two private investigators say they were hired to track the leader s father, a long-time scientologist who left the church. in 2013, one of those investigators, dwayne powell, was arrested in wisconsin after police received a call about a suspicious man walking around a neighborhood. what mr. powell did indicate to the detectives is at the end of the day he believed he was working for the church of scientology.
