Movement ban in Oman to end tonight: ROP

Muscat: The Supreme Committee s decision to end the movement ban will be implemented from Saturday, 12 AM onwards, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.
A statement issued online by ROP said, ”Based on the decision of the Supreme Committee in charge to deal with Covid-19, the movement ban of individuals and vehicles will be terminated today after 12 midnight.”

Muscat: With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases around the world, the Russian president declares official holidays to combat the epidemic, and Japan declares a state of emergency.
Oman TV said, Russian President Vladimir Putin declares ten days off in Russia during the month of May to combat the coronavirus. Japan declares a state of emergency due to the coronavirus, three months ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, Oman TV added.
Nearly 2,000 Iftar meals distributed among expat workers, street vendors

Muscat: Al Rahma Association distributed nearly 2,000 Iftar meals to expatriate workers and street vendors in the Wilayat of Seeb and Muttrah, in cooperation with a number of restaurants yesterday.
The association said: With the support of benevolent people, on Thursday, April 22nd, ready-to-eat breakfast meals were distributed, with a donation from a number of restaurants, to expatriate workers and street vendors, totalling 1914 meals.
Al Rahma association also announced the opening of registration in the fasting breakfast program for Arab communities and called on those included in the initiative to visit the association’s building in “Al Khoud” to receive food parcels from 9 am to 2 pm.
Anonymous person makes donation to release of prisoners

Muscat: For the fifth year in a row, a person made a donation to the release of all indebted prisoners in Al Dhahirah Governorate who are covered by the conditions of Fak Krba initiative.
Fak Krba initiative announced, A philanthropist, who refuses to reveal his name, took care of the release of all detainees and those who have been sentenced to imprisonment in the Al Dhahirah Governorate courts, who meet the conditions of the initiative.
Fak Krba is a charitable humanitarian initiative aimed at collecting financial donations to relieve insolvent people in prisons due to the requirements of them (legitimate, commercial, labour)
