criticizing the covid policies of that particular town. the city manager then blocked that user. interestingly, this was a different outcome in the ninth circuit. the sixth circuit said because the city manager was operating only in his personal capacity, he did not violate the first amendment as it came to his government duties. there s really a circuit split here. that s why the supreme court has taken up this case. something to work out, clearly. they haven t dealt, the supreme court, specifically with this issue. have they dealt with social media anywhere close to this sphere? there have been a number of cases that have come possibly before the supreme court, but they were able to punt on a few of these issues, including the 2021 case where the former president had blocked users from his twitter account. they didn t end up deciding the case because at the point when it came to them, donald trump was a former president. they were able to say, okay, it s no longer applicable, it
fingers a the president. but i haven t seen any real proposals coming out of congress, or even the administration for that matter that can really address this massive influx of migrants in a meaningful way that will be impactful for not only this moment, but for decades to come. and my proposal does just that. i think it s important to point out that title 42 is a public health measure. it was invoked by the trump administration years ago. that s right. to fight the spread of covid-19. but how do you judge it? how do you judge title 42 as a border management tool? well, i think that we should continue implementing title 42 until certainly covid cases go down and things change, and that we have a real policy solution to the mass of migration that s accumulating on our border. but certainly president biden has all the cover in the world right now to continue with title 42. obviously, that s why the supreme court did it. but, you know, i understand the
it s one of the u.s. military s most important weapons systems playing a critical role in the fight against terror. and now there s new growing concern over the computers that concern drone aircraft. they re infected with a persistent virus but it is only part after much, much bigger threat. our correspondent chris lawrence is investigating all of this for us. chris, what are you picking up? right now, officials don t know if this virus is benign or truly doing harm. it has not stopped the pilots from actually flying the drones over their missions in places like afghanistan. but right now, they are in the midst of an investigation to find out if any secret data is being transmitted outside because of this virus. they ve become one of the linchpins of u.s. military power in war zones around the world. but a defense official confirms these drones are now flying while infected with a computer virus. military officials are more confused than panicked by this virus. noah sha
