Chief scott and director henderson. Im jason sawyer, lieutenant at northern station, coming here to talk about the general order, revising for underwater diving operations. We currently have a general order, 6. 03 which we are seeking to replace the prior general order, it goes back to at least 1999. There have been no revisions since then. If you review the prior general order, virtually none of it other than the concept of water applies today. The old system has virtually no its a page and a half where our divers used to use their own equipment. There was no real chain of command or any type of medical protocol. Ive been diving for over 30 years. Many of the years with the department. And i wish Something Like this would have been revised for all the time ive spent in the water. This goes very well hand in hand with what the sergeant was speaking about regarding the r. O. V. And the concept of there are so many ways a diver can get injured in black water or overhead diving. This new
This is a bay area problem. Oakland and fremont are also on the worst city list. The m. T. A. Has a serious staffing problem. As was mentioned, not enough drivers and not enough skilled workers to maintain aging equipment. Thank you. Thank you. Next speaker, please and if we can return the overhead. Thank you. Good morning, transit authority, i am a tenant in district eight. I am a munimobile writer. I take the jay line, the 49, every line. I have been in this city almost 50 years so ive familiar with the transit, which is in a sorry state. The proposed state senate bill 50, the more homes act, links housing density and the proximity to transit. The bill 50 would enable developers to build higher and more dems housing along transit corridors with the highest percentage of the units being market rate housing. It makes perfect sense there be a provision for transportation infrastructure to support the growth policies for transit rich areas because we need to have plans for complete commu
Our United States constitution requires every ten years that america counts every human being in the United States, which is incredibly important for many reasons. Its important for preliminary representation because if Political Representation because if we under count california, we get less representatives in congress. Its important for San Francisco because if we dont have all of the people in our city, if we dont have all of the folks in california, california and San Francisco stand to lose billions of dollars in funding. Its really important to the city of San Francisco that the federal government gets the count right, so weve created count sf to motivate all sf count to motivate all citizens to participate in the census. For the immigrant community, a lot of people arent sure whether they should take part, whether this is something for u. S. Citizens or whether its something for anybody whos in the yUnited States, and it is something for everybody. Census counts the entire popu
Bit more space. And the stairs, you can see here were just at an awkward position, and we configured that to i felt a better condition. And the other comment was it greatly improves an existing conditions. These decks are very unsightly, very bulky, and very large. And the way they were structurally built, they were starting to show some major structural issues, particularly with dry rot. So if a condition is we require the decks to be set back 3 feet, there is no project at that point . Im saying we would have a 5 foot deck. You would still do the project and the reconstruction of the stairs. Thats a question for my client to answer, but i i believe we would accept we would accept that, yeah. Okay. Thank you. Are we still on the historic part . Its a joint hearing, so yeah. Yeah. I mean, im looking at this, and, you know, my understanding would be that the if the existing condition had its required fire wall, it would be in the exact same position, and the new one would actually be sm
Supervisor stefani. Thank you, president yee. Vallie, i first met you, what, in 2007 when we both started as legislative aids, and im not going to name names but theres something about working for elected officials that makes one a stronger person, i believe. Im probably going to say that to my staff as well. It was clear then as it is clear now that you came to this work with a deep understanding, love and appreciation for your community. And you came as a neighborhood activist Getting Started in your neighborhoods, founding the Lower Haight Neighborhood Association and lower haight merchants association, knowing the value of neighborhood activism. And we all heard the stories of you out there picking up trash in the neighborhood. And that stuff matters. That matters to people. For decades, you have worked behind the scenes to bring real results for the neighborhoods and for the city. And youve done it without ever seeking the spotlight, and i think thats something thats absolutely tr
