Jere, citing a Supreme Court judgement, reiterated that no educational institution or university is permitted to conduct technical courses, including MBA programmes, without obtaining prior approval from AICTE. The AICTE further clarified that an MBA, being a comprehensive two-year postgraduate degree course, cannot be condensed into a mere 10-day timeframe.
Before the grant of approval for the increase in intake sought by any institution, the Council shall ascertain the infrastructure and faculty availability there, according to the technical education regulator.
