The unusual warning from the Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming came only weeks after Chinese Defense Minister Gen. Wei Fenghe told Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid that Beijing and Dhaka should work together to prevent outside powers by establishing a military alliance in South Asia and practicing hegemonism .

IMD has issued a yellow watch over the aforementioned northeastern states on Tuesday and Wednesday, and across the eastern states from Tuesday to Friday.

GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department has forecasted isolated heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya on 11 & 12 May.
Further isolated to scattered rain/thundershower over rest parts of east India during next 5 days including Tripura on 11 May; Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 11 & 12 May and over Gangetic West Bengal from 11 to 13 May.
In view of these predictions, the IMD has issued a yellow watch over the aforementioned northeastern states on Tuesday and Wednesday, and across the eastern states from Tuesday to Friday. The advisory urges residents to be aware of the local weather situation.

Booking of SOP Violators in Assam: Assam Police DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta on May 12 said that if anyone is found violating the COVID-19 SOP/guidelines, strict actions including attempt to murder case will be registered against such violators.
Addressing a press meet the Assam DGP asked the people of Assam to strictly follow all the rules of the new SOP. Further, the DGP said, Reports are coming of people closing shops from the front and working from inside, such shopkeepers will be in deep trouble and booked under DDMA act.
If somebody is found organizing a private function, party, violating the SOP those will be like a betrayal against the society and they will be booked under Attempt to murder like charges.

Bhopal- On Tuesday, two bodies were discovered on the banks of the Runj river in the state s Panna district. The remains, according to a senior administration official in the city, were those of locals, one of whom died of cancer and the other of old age.
Residents say that four to five bodies were discovered in the Runj river, which serves as a drinking water supply for the cattle of the village. We fear an epidemic might break in our village due to these bodies which have been floating in the river since the last five to six days, a resident said.
