In view of these predictions, the IMD has issued a yellow watch over the aforementioned northeastern states on Tuesday and Wednesday, and across the eastern states from Tuesday to Friday. The advisory urges residents to be aware of the local weather situation.

Addressing a press meet the Assam DGP asked the people of Assam to strictly follow all the rules of the new SOP. Further, the DGP said, Reports are coming of people closing shops from the front and working from inside, such shopkeepers will be in deep trouble and booked under DDMA act. If somebody is found organizing a private function, party, violating the SOP those will be like a betrayal against the society and they will be booked under Attempt to murder like charges.
