BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - The spring season is almost here and with warmer temperatures and relaxed restrictions, many are hopeful that businesses will benefit from an influx of travelers.
This week, the CDC released its recommendation advising people against traveling for the spring break holiday, saying travel increases the risk of getting and spreading COVID-19.
But the months ahead are typically the busiest for Gulfport Biloxi International Airport, as warm weather brings people from across the country to the Gulf Coast’s beaches.

MargaritavilleResort Biloxi will once again welcome guests inside for the first time since October when Hurricane Zeta caused damage to the resort.
Over the last few months, crews have worked diligently to get the entertainment center back open, adding several new features to Margaritaville, including new eateries, new family suites with bunk beds, and more than 80 new games, bringing the total number of games on the property to over 200.

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - After a rollercoaster year like many other businesses, Biloxiâs White House Hotel is opening its doors once again on Thursday.
The first time it closed was because of COVID-19 and the second time was because of Hurricane Zeta. And now, itâs giving itself and the community an early Christmas present.
The hotel was busy Wednesday adding final touches to the building and decorations on the site. Itâs a welcomed task to have, especially when owners of the White House Hotel didnât expect to reopen before 2021.
