Lori Spence is the first woman to be director of the Aspen Highlands Ski Patrol and the second woman to be hired by Aspen Skiing Company as a patrol director at any of its four ski areas. Aspen Public Radio spent a day with Lori Spence and her avalanche dog, Meka, as Spence approached the end of her first full season in the new position.
