Terry sater, wisn 12 news. Anchor a milwaukee woman punched and kicked as she walked to work. Police say the attack after she turned down a mans romantic advances. It happened near 21st and keefe about 7 00 in the morning on sunday. Wisn 12 news nick bohr joins us live. Nick, Community Leaders are calling for an end of harassment which they say happens all too common. Reporter in this case the woman was walking down the sidewalk with them in following her back of the head and knocked her down. She eventually ran for help to this gas station when he would not leave her alone and wouldnt take no for an answer. It was around 7 00 a. M. Sunday the man followed the woman down the street asking her out and he sister says wouldnt take no for an answer. She continued to tell him as politely as possible that she was not interested. He got upset, he punched her in a bunch of names, then proceeded to kick her repeatedly in the ribs. The only reason he stopped was because she was reaching for her
