MANILA, Philippines (AP) Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. flew to China on Tuesday for a three-day state visit, saying he looks forward to his meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping as they work to boost bilateral ties.
Top officials from the two nations are meeting in Washington this week to discuss tensions with China, Russia and North Korea and to plan for deterrence with U.S. troops and missiles.
An Irish peacekeeper deployed along the Lebanese border with Israel was shot and killed, and three others were injured. The attack is being investigated.
