the reverend al sharpton weighs in on these grizzly mamas. i begin with the scare mon gerring southern strategy making a comeback. this time the right is going ballistic about the islamic near ground zero to ginn up fears about american muslims starting with this guy. wait, president obama s not a muslim. look, i want to be clear on this. president obama is a christian. apparently it s not working because that s news to nearly one quarter of america and new time poll shows 24% think that president is a muslim. that s mental. a pew poll finds that 31% of it americans believe he s muslim, more than the amount of republican who s think he s a christian. by is the correct answer. and even 10% of democrats believe these nonsense rumors. this forces obama supporters including his spokesperson today to say he s not muslim! not that there s anything wrong with that. but why is this idea even out there? how did it get into the blood stream of the american population? mom hugh say
