The Flagler County Health Department continues to modify its near-term vaccination efforts to reach working residents and local businesses.
Last week, the health department shared plans to relocate first dose appointments from the Flagler County Fairgrounds to other locations throughout the county. Second dose appointments on Monday and Tuesday mornings will continue at the fairgrounds for a few more weeks. Those anticipating their second dose should confirm the date, time and location on the back of their vaccination card. Anyone with questions should contact the call center (weekdays) at 386-437-7350 ext. 0.

The Palm Coast Aquatics Center opens on April 5!
“We know our community has greatly missed the Palm Coast Aquatics Center this last year and we are so grateful to be opening it for the season on April 5,” said Parks & Recreation Director Lauren Johnston. “The pool is essential to providing life-saving swim lessons and an important source of recreation and wellness to our residents.”

DeSantis said expansion by Publix serves his goal of vaccinating as many senior citizens as possible.
“Publix is in every community. If we can get it in every community, it’s going to be easier for people to get the vaccine,” he said. . We really believe it s important to put seniors first on this.
Close to 400,000 seniors have been vaccinated statewide, DeSantis said, calling that total the most of any state by a country mile.
The supermarket vaccinations were welcome news in a week when the shots availability in St. Johns County has been unpredictable. County officials said Monday that no vaccine shipments from state government were expected this week, then on Tuesday said that 500 doses had arrived and that appointments could be scheduled beginning Thursday.
