It was a historical signing day Wednesday at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center as 6 local students -5 from Florence School District 3 and one from Darlington County - became the first high school class to sign on as Youth Patient Care Technicians (PCT) at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.
The facility is set for completion in October of next year. Wednesday afternoon, Governor Henry McMaster and state healthcare leaders signed a construction beam that is now part of the new building.
