This morning Fulton County, georgia, District Attorney willis is expected to begin presenting her case to a grand jury outlining Donald Trumps alleged efforts to overturn bidens 2020 victory in that state. Tomorrow the grand jury will hear from former Lieutenant Governor jeff duncan and journalist george chidi, both who have been asked to testify. The former president has spent this morning and the weekend slamming the d. A. And her case saying he didnt tamper with the election. bringing some rain, maybe an inch or so accumulating across texas, and a light storm moving across parts of the central plains right now. temperature wise across parts of the south, things looking quite good, and we re watching even with that moisture no flight delays at all. this is that little clipper system i was talking about, temps cooler, 34 degrees in chicago, that said, no delays across area airports. we had a storm yesterday across parts of the northeast. things are calmer, but that clipper system i was mentioning here, see that little bit of rain and snow across parts of iowa, into illinois? that s developing into more snow across parts of pennsylvania and upstate new york, areas of lake effect snow, we ll be watching some areas that have seen about a foot and a half of snow. so that s one trouble spot. but overall, e. world, i tell you what edward, we have a lot to be the thankful for, getting to and from grandmas.
we are going to start out with freezing rain before it turns into regular rain across parts of maine. four semis that have been overturned across that area. so traffic in both directions not going anywhere right now. big dangerous time right there this morning. down towards the mid-atlantic, we will see that pull off towards the east. cloudy day, sometimes the rain will be heavy. down towards the southeast, that rain sometimes will also become severe. we will put this into motion. this is how the rest of the day is going to work out. you will see the front continues to pull to the east. some of the rain heavy will clear things out by this afternoon. across parts of the southeast. tonight a very rainy rainy night all across the mid-atlantic and in towards the northeast. you will notice behind it the temps cooler but certainly not horribly cold that s good news. 19 degrees in chicago by tomorrow morning. that s a lot better than your below zero temperatures. the puppy is going crazy over
like it will be as strong of a system, but one to be careful of nonetheless. we ll show you what s going on. that same storm system now pulling towards the northeast. you ll see a threat mostly for strong winds today. some of these storms move through with the cold front. it s very hot and steamy ahead of the storm. that will change behind it. it s going to finally cool down, the steamy conditions. the first heat wave across the mid atlantic this week, that will be gone by the time we get to tomorrow. today, another warm one. the showers moving through to the southeast. you see a lot of rain there across the central gulf. once that front moves through, it dries out. we ll see more sunshine and humidity levels will drop off quite a bit. towards the northern plains, also dry. in fact, temps cooler, only getting to six 9 today and 64 in columbia, mo where they ve seen so much rain from all of these storms. out across the southwest, it s just hot. temperatures at 107 again today in tucson.
