Deputies say that they were stunned to find a 10yearold boy and his 11yearold sister hop out of the stolen car near gainesville as they surrounded it. Those are the kids with their hands up. Look, the Sheriffs Office says the pair stole their mothers car after she took away their electronic devices. The mom drove three hours from her northport home to pick them up. Still at 60 to 65 miles an hour. Notice the scope of the storm. The center of it still over areas in both carolina but the rain bands extend well off to the north. Raining across portions of new york, new jersey and even massachusetts from some of these outer bands. The heaviest rain mainly focused across portions of virginia and North Carolina. We have heavy bands making their way across portions of raleigh right now. We see them spreading farther north and the places like new jersey, delaware. That is the general trend through the next 24 hours. We have Flood Watches in effect for several states with the red indicating flash flood warnings including raleigh and communities off to the east. Basically the concern is they already had two or three inches of rainfall and anticipate another one or two inches on top of what they already have.
