Two Transition Year students from Wicklow have graduated from a programme offered by St Patrick’s Mental Health services to become mental health ambassadors.
Green Party Councillor for Greystones Lourda Scott has said Wicklow County Council’s refusal to grant permission for a development of 98 homes on the outskirts of the town was the correct one.
The principals of eight schools in the Greystones and Delgany area met to discuss the alarming rise in the levels of anxiety among primary school children, at an event in the Whale Theatre, Greystones, on Friday May 12, which was also attended by local TDs Simon Harris, Stephen Donnelly and Jennifer Whitmore.
The number of new housing units completed in the first three months of this year was 6,716, the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show, which is an increase of 19.1% on the numbers completed in the same period last year.
