New Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln found out right away that when you run for public office and you actually enter office “there’s no honeymoon period.”
“It is straight to work. Not only did my team have to get acclimated with City Hall and everything that’s going on, but we had to start making decisions right away,” he said. “It was just really important for us to hit the ground running.”

STOCKTON Weberstown Mall has teamed up with the Miracle Mile Mural Coalition (3MCO) to ask the public for help in creating a colorful mural at the mall.
Weberstown Mall general manager Melissa Gomes was looking for an exterior art project. “The project is an initiative of our parent company, Washington Prime Group, to transform our centers into pieces of art and surprise and delight our guests,” Gomes said.
Gomes met Edison High School art teacher Temo Moreno years before at church through mutual friends. She had admired his work with the 3MCO, so she reached out to him for the mall project.
