FDE takes steps to boost educational institutions’ performance July 6, 2021 Islamabad: Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has taken numerous steps to boost performance of ICT Educational Institutions, including audit of previous four years of educational institutions, distribution of cheques worth Rs120 million among families of bereaved employees, launching of blended-e-learning programme and implementation of Learn Smart Classroom project in the 80 schools. Talking to APP, FDE Director General Dr Ikram Ali Malik Monday said that the audit would be conducted of the fees charged from children during last four years, bank accounts, hostel funds and graduation funds. The details of the employee salaries, evening shifts and the expenditures of the vehicles were also being investigated. The embezzlement in the expenditures of model colleges were also being probed.

June 28, 2021 Islamabad : The federal government has allocated funds amounting to Rs28 billion for the education sector in the budget 2021-22, which stand almost 500 per cent higher than the PMLN regime’s last year allocation. In an interview with this agency on Sunday, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mehmood said that through this allocation, education would see a true transformation. “The PMLN in its last year in government had spent Rs4.7 billion in the education sector, while the PTI government allocated Rs28 billion for the current financial year that is 100 per cent higher than its previous budget, and 500 per cent higher than the allocation of the previous government’s last year,” he informed.
