Prayas not only secured the coveted trophy but also earned a prestigious scholarship worth USD 5750 under the USA J1 Chef Exchange Visitor Program for 12 months from Wisdom Career Education. The competition, which took place at IHM, Dadar, Mumbai, showcased exceptional culinary talents from across the country. Srishti Sen, a student of Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts, Pune, and Jatin Kumar Dhiman, a student of SRM University, Sonepat, secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. A significant number of the migrant workforce is also returning from their respective home towns after getting vaccinated, or to get vaccinated in Hyderabad. While eateries witnessed a steady rise in footfall after the lockdown was lifted in the state, speciality restaurants attached to hotel chains that shut during the lockdown are happy to report being ‘pre-booked’ during the weekends.

To encourage students to showcase their culinary skills and learn more about different cultures and traditions of the country, Regency College of Hotel Management arranged a food festival to celebrate the upcoming Sankranti festival.
A beautiful display of a village ‘Tirunallu’ was depicted by the students on the occasion.
