The win moves the Tigers to 10-20 on the year, while the loss ends the Orange’s season at 11-18. Washington finished with her fifth double-double of the season with 33 points and 11 rebounds. Amari Robinson, Hannah Hank, and Daisha Bradford each finished in double-figures, combining for 40 points, with Hank turning in a season-high 17. SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Seminoles.com) – Behind Morgan Jones’ 21 points and Valencia Myers’ double-double, Florida State Women’s Basketball got a big road win at Syracuse on a frigid Tuesday night, winning 73-67 at the Carrier Dome on just one day of rest between games.
It was Jones’ eighth career 20-point game, including the fifth of the season. Myers added 13 points and 10 rebounds, the sixth double-double of her career.

FSU used a key 18-11 third quarter to break away, and despite Syracuse ramping up the full-court pressure in the fourth, the Seminoles (13-11, 7-7) stay composed in the final quarter and managed to break the press several times and find easy baskets.
The Seminoles also capitalized from the free throw line, going 15-of-20 and getting aggressive to the basket in the second half to create better scoring chances.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Women’s Basketball finishes its three-game road trip heading to Syracuse for a rare Tuesday night conference matchup. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. at the Carrier Dome on ACC Network Extra.
The Tuesday tip is a make-up date for when the Seminoles (12-11, 6-7) and the Orange (11-12, 4-9) were supposed to play on Jan. 2. Both teams are coming off quick turn-arounds after playing road games on Sunday, with FSU falling at Miami and Syracuse coming back to defeat Pitt on the road.
The Seminoles are 4-5 all-time against Syracuse, with the series beginning when the Orange became members of the ACC in the 2013-14 season. FSU is looking for its first win at the Carrier Dome since current USA Basketball Women’s World Cup Qualifying Team member Natasha Howard dropped a school-record 40 points in an 83-59 victory on Feb. 13, 2014.
