QUETTA: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said the coastal areas of Balochsitan offered immense potential in fisheries and asked the local youth to learn techniques to fully tap the opportunities for revenue generation.
Addressing at the ceremony of soft loan distribution among youth of Balochistan under Kamyab Jawan programme, the prime minister said the government would support the youth through proper training in fisheries and help them run own businesses.
The prime minister expressed satisfaction over allocation of Rs 10 billion for the small business and skill development of the people of Balochistan.
Imran Khan proposed that learning of cage fishing technique as an aquaculture fish production system could prove beneficial for poor fishermen who were struggling to meet their ends.
Rs 8b disbursed under Kamyab Jawan Programme

Islamabad : Senior Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Muhammad Usman Dar Saturday said that at least Rs8 billion had been disbursed among the qualified entrepreneurs under the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) of Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme.
He confirmed the development in a tweet thread which highlighted the overall progress made under the YES of Kamyab Jawan Programme. So far, 10,000 youth have directly been benefitted from distribution of Rs8 billion, while a total of about 70,000 are provided employment [with such disbursement], he tweeted.
Usman Dar added that the government, in line with the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, had expedited the cash disbursement process under Kamyab Jawan Programme throughout the country, indiscriminately.

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Monday stressed the need for taking immediate measures to save the agriculture sector from the adverse impact of climate change and help maintain the country’s food safety and security.
Chairing a meeting of the National Assembly Special Committee on Agricultural Products, he called for implementing the recommendations of the committee in its letter and spirit in order to revive and develop the agriculture sector on modern techniques and achieve sustainable economic development in the country.
Prosperity of the country was linked with the prosperity of local farmers, he said adding that very possible measures must be ensured to revive and develop national agriculture sector.
