PMC lays off staff members

Islamabad : The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), which had replaced the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) last year, has laid off 12 contractual staff members.
These employees received separate letters declaring that their contracts extended for two months have expired, so they don’t need come to office.
They included coordinators Dr Sarah Ali (information), Dr Maria Sameer (licensing), Dr Asiya Zaiban (exams), Dr Farhanaz Zaidi (education) and Salahuddin (verification), registration officer Mohammad Saqib, IT assistant Asfandyar Khan, and four others, including Adnan Rauf, Ahmed Raza, Abdul Manan and Nasir Nisar.
Insiders claimed that the management had assured Dr Sara, Dr Maria, Dr Asiya and Salahudin of appointment to senior positions, which had already been advertised.
Rs 8b disbursed under Kamyab Jawan Programme

Islamabad : Senior Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Muhammad Usman Dar Saturday said that at least Rs8 billion had been disbursed among the qualified entrepreneurs under the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) of Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme.
He confirmed the development in a tweet thread which highlighted the overall progress made under the YES of Kamyab Jawan Programme. So far, 10,000 youth have directly been benefitted from distribution of Rs8 billion, while a total of about 70,000 are provided employment [with such disbursement], he tweeted.
Usman Dar added that the government, in line with the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, had expedited the cash disbursement process under Kamyab Jawan Programme throughout the country, indiscriminately.
