16-year-old. being so young, you have to grow up so fast in a place like this. the idea of survivor skills breaks your heart. she was an innocent victim. you worked with kids in the classroom. what have they told you about their concerns about gun violence in the country and what do you even tell them at this point? it is in our collective consciousness. i think kids unlike 23 years ago, they show up to school and have that thought in the back of their mind of how they re going to respond, what they re going to do in that moment and that s a reality that kids across america are entering schools thinking about and that s a part of their reality and i think that s kind of a sad indictment of where we are at this point. i try to remind them that they re safe and, you know, they are for the most part. and build that sense of comfort so that they can focus on being students and being teen-agers. but this is the reality that
teen-agers among the victims. this, as another human smuggling operation goes wrong. this morning in the rio grande valley a high speed car chase involving local law enforcement in palm view texas as the smuggler s car crashed two migrants were killed, two others were hospitalized. the fate of the driver is unknown. texas department of public safety lieutenant chris olivares says these tragedies are on the rise. we re seeing a lot more high speed chases involving human smugglers especially in the del rio sector. all of this comes as they wait the supreme court s decision over whether the biden administration has the authority to end the remain in mexico policy. should they rule in favor of texas, how much confidence do you have in the biden administration that they will abide by that and reinstate it fully? if they do not follow the standard texas can take legal action and go to court to hold the president, to hold secretary mayorkas and there are opportunities in the federal g
