Samsung Galaxy S24: A Samsung spokesperson told ET that the Korean major will provide the Galaxy AI features for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices. “Different terms may apply for AI features provided by third parties”.

5G: For 2023, India’s smartphone market maintained stability with 148.6 million shipments overall, with a decline of 2%, according to data from Canalys. The market picked up in the fourth quarter last year owing to festival discounts and demand which propelled Q4 shipments to 38.9 million units, a 20% year-on-year growth.
According to the research firm, the adoption of smart devices is increasing, but the annual increase is incremental which will not only shrink the growth but also stress profitability and “eventually wipe off some OEMs, consolidating the market”.
