Good afternoon. Im tori campbell. A crash in oakland leaves an elderly man dead. Police say he was hit by two teenagers trying to make a getaway after a shooting. Ktvus alex savidge has more. Reporter the force of the crash flipped this subaru Station Wagon on its roof. The 75yearold man behind the wheel of the car was killed. Police say he was broadsided by this red suv at the intersection of church and bancroft, next to eastmont mall. The suv was carrying two 17 yearold boys who police say were on the run suspected in a shooting just minutes earlier. Officers heard gunfire around 10 00 last night near ruddsdale and 82nd avenue. As they responded to check the area to locate victims, they noticed the suspect vehicle fleeing from the scene at a very high rate of speed. A short time later, that speeding suv blew thru this intersection, slamming into a passing car and killing that interknow sent driver innocent driver.
