I am Kate Clarke Lemay and im the curator of votes for women. For this exhibition, i worked 3. 5 years researching, finding all the objects. About 124 objects, of which there are 63 portraits. I was hoping to commemorate the 19th amendment and tell the history of the 19th amendment and how women lobbied to get this amendment passed and ratified. But also ask questions about it. And why 1965, the Voting Rights act, is considered a part two of the 19th amendment. I will show you a few of the objects that tell this history. Lets go.
