Krithivasan has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from IIT Kanpur.

In FY23, TCS generated US $27.9 billion in revenues with over 600,000 associates across 50 countries. In his prior role, Krithivasan was the Global Head of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Business Group.
Top officials close to the development said Krithivasan is preparing TCS to pivot towards artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure future readiness. This includes pushing innovation and incubation of start-up ideas, upskilling and cross-skilling employees with AI-based tools to leverage the potential arising from AI deployment in businesses.
Rajesh Gopinathan was one of the highest-paid employees of Tata Group and ended up bagging a commission of Rs 25 crore during his time as TCS Managing Director and CEO.
